Ricardo was on a project titled Phantom Fun Arcade, a film by indie animator Daniel Murrillo. Phantom Fun Arcade is "about these so-called "paranormal investigators" who stumble upon an actual haunted place with zero experience on how to defend themselves."

While the linework was done by Brooklyn Hoobler, Ricardo was tasked with painting the backgrounds. He used his knowledge in color theory and environments to paint these creepy unsettling backgrounds. He painted the exterior of an abandoned diner, as well as two interiors, and the interior of a liquor store. He utilized Procreate and Adobe Photoshop to paint these.
